"Human Heartbeat" circa 2017

Thump, thump, thump
I can hear the rapid, pounding of a human heart beating.
It's deafens my ears so much, that I want to scream.
It's increasing sound invaded my mind, paving way throughout my body.
There's no denying it,
I am enticed by the intense rush.
I haven't the slightest clue of what to do?

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
Oh no! My lust is craving.
I feel a tight ache in my chest, while my fangs are baring!
This can't be!
This human heartbeat is fleeting!

Arteries throbbing, veins pulsing, and a life fading.
Surely enough, this human heartbeat will stop.
Please make it stop!
Any more and I will tear it out!

God forgive me! For I have taken away a life you created!
I am a vampire tormented by my victim's heartbeat!
I beg of you!!

Your hands are stained with blood,
Your eyes search and watch.
Your mouth howls and roars';
the body you possess is that of your own.
However when you transform you have no self-control.
I see it now, you're no different from me.
But why does it feel as though you're just another human?
Regardless of wearing flesh as a disguise.
I can hear it in your heart,
that deep inside you want to cry.

People say a monster is a beast in human form.
Although I can say it's true,
I will prove them wrong.
Yes,
You hunt for the game,
lust for a mate and;
kill for the thrill
without being tamed.
But by your suffering,
you do feel a tremendous amount of shame.

You are a monster by birth
Not by choice.
You were forced and enslaved
There's no cure.
So if you want, I'll make you pure.
I'll make you see you were flawed
Because since you saved me-
I've always wanted to help you with your pain.

I'm not sure how can it happen,
but all I know is that for some reason;
you are not the monster they make you out to be.

A girl who back then had no trouble in the world.
